CHICAGO – The Chicago White Sox have agreed to terms on minor-league contracts with the following eight free agents:
- RHP (3): Dan Altavilla, Justin Dunn and Jonathan Heasley;
- C (1): Omar Narváez;
- INF (3): Bobby Dalbec, Andre Lipcius and Cal Mitchell;
- OF (1): Nick Maton.
All eight players have received non-roster invites to the club’s spring training camp in Glendale, Ariz.
In addition, the following 16 players from within the White Sox organization have been invited to 2025 spring training:
- RHP (4): Mason Adams, Eric Adler, Peyton Pallette and Grant Taylor;
- LHP (3): Trey McGough, Noah Schultz and Hagen Smith;
- C (3): Adam Hackenberg, Edgar Quero and Kyle Teel;
- INF (3): Tim Elko, Jacob Gonzalez and Chase Meidroth;
- OF (3): Corey Julks, Braden Montgomery and Wilfred Veras.
Schultz (No. 10), Smith (No. 40), Teel (No. 52) and Braden Montgomery (No. 66) rank among Baseball America’s Top 100 prospects entering the 2025 season. Schultz (No. 1) and Smith (No. 2) are rated by MLB.com as the top two left-handed pitching prospects in baseball. This is the first time two pitchers from the same organization are ranked the No. 1 and No. 2 left-handed pitching prospects in baseball. Teel is ranked by MLB.com as the No. 3 catching prospect overall while Quero is ranked as No. 9 on their list.
Pitchers and catchers first workout is scheduled for Wednesday, February 12, with the first full-squad workout set for Monday, February 17.
